Description: This group will discuss the book, "Non-Violent Communication, A Language of Life" (Rosenberg) and explore how the concepts in the book relate to Scripture. One example of a topic addressed in both the book and in Scripture is the instruction to "Judge not lest you be judged". Scripture says what not to do but doesn't clarify what it means or how to avoid it. This book has a point of view on the "how". In other ways as well, non-violent communication (NVC) can be viewed as an approach to doing things that Scripture teaches about. We expect that studying NVC will stimulate insights into Scripture, and considering Scripture will enhance our understanding of NVC. Considering the conflicts in the world today, compassionate communication is a timely topic.
