The
second Friday of each month finds a crew of folks from Boulder
Mennonite cooking dinner for the residents of the Homeless Shelter.
In the winter, the Boulder Mennonite building serves as overflow space for the homeless, staffed by BMC members.
The
shelter has 68 beds which are typically full, especially during bad
weather. The shelter is open from October through April.
In addition, they have a transitional program specifically designed to
get people off the streets. In the last three years, 150
people have been transitioned back into jobs and traditional housing.
